Let's explore europe by train - First stop Paris !
thus begins a three week long trek through Benelux, Germany and Austria
Good morning from TGV 2864 from Metz to Paris.
Today I begin my journey across europe by train, and what better way to start than using the iconic French TGV. And aboard none other than the “Reseaux” series of TGVs, the third generation of high speed trains built in the 90s.
Unlike my next trips, this one is in second class. But on SNCF services there really isn’t a difference between first and second class.
Let’s go inside….
In "2nde” there are two types of seating arrangements: Duo side by side and a table of four. My seat was number 27 in coach 16, a seat in a group of four.
I love the pink and orange color palette don’t you?
Soon after leaving Metz, we hit our cruising speed of 320km/h or about 200mph.
Metz to Paris, 400km, 1h20 minutes, the sheer magic of the TGV.
See you tomorrow for the highlight of the trip.
